Nature Connection of West Milford’s ‘Organic Community Gardens’ Program is hosting a kick-off meeting and Organic Garden Education on Thursday, March 14 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the West Milford Township Library, rooms 6 & 7. Whether you are a novice or a pro, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. At 7pm, participants will get a brief overview of the gardens and how they work, then can sign up and have their questions answered. There is a $40 fee for a 8’ X 8’ plot which helps cover the cost of tools and other garden essentials. Please bring cash or a check. At 7:45, our Organic Gardening Education will begin with Barbara Taylor-Laino of Midsummer Farm in Warwick on the do’s and don'ts of organic gardening. If you are interested in meeting new people, learning about organic growing or want to grow your own organic vegetables with a friendly, supportive group, please join us! The library is located at 1470 Union Valley Road, West Milford on the second floor.
